HEART FAILURE, A GLOBAL DISEASE REQUIRING A GLOBAL RESPONSE
During the last two decades, heart failure has developed into a major burden in whole world, increasingly affecting millions. In order to contain a heart failure epidemic in developing countries, it is important to establish its prevalence and specific causes in different regions of the developing world.
In order to contain a heart failure epidemic in developing countries, it is important to establish its prevalence and specific causes in different regions of the developing world, and identify regional preventive measures and therapeutic regimens.
Stimulation of local research activities in the area of heart failure, and specific educational programmes for patients and health care providers are some of the examples to reach this goal.
We would like to invite your active participation to the World Heart Failure Society (WHFS). The WHFS is a non-profit organization and a professional society. We would like to bring together medical, allied health and research professionals from all parts of the world who are involved in the field of heart failure. We hope that the WHFS will provide a platform of knowledge transfer, exchange of ideas and experiences, professional education and foster collaborative search on a global basis.
The World Heart Failure Society’s Newsletter will be published online every 3 months. Each issue features news and updates on diagnosis and management of heart failure, multicenter clinical study and/or questionnaires initiatives on field of heart failure for all health professionals. You can also find a column for announcement of your studies, congresses and case presentations. We hope you will find the activities of the Society useful to you as well as expanding your global network in heart failure.
